PROBLEMS REGISTERING ON NEW FORUM? « Thread Started on Oct 24, 2005, 11:14am »
I've noticed in the logs that quite a few people tried to log in, but can't figure out what's going on... so some help would be appreciated!
e. g.
* Are people using their old usernames and passwords without registering first? This is one possibility which occurred to me, but I can't be entirely sure. If that's the case - you will need to register again, for your protection I don't actually have access to your passwords and I cannot manually transfer existing members. (However, once you've registered on the new forum, you can e-mail me in case you forget your password and I can reset a new password for you).
* Is the "I agree" button at the bottom of the registration not prominent enough? Not clicking "I agree" will cause the registration to fail.
* Are you getting any error messages? (if so, which ones)?
It may either be something in the settings that needs adjusting or maybe it's not entirely clear that you need to register again (and cannot use the registration info you used on this forum) - it would be great if people could let me know! Cheers !

I've just registered and didn't have any problems - I logged out and back in again to be sure and it seems OK. In fact, if anything, it's easier because there's no activation via email
I used the same info as on here (same username/password) but just registered as a new member.
By the way, I like the selection of new avatars - I've selected something a little more 'me'
