WELL DONE ! So you're pretty much finished now, apart from actually getting your dentures? I hope the pain meds have started working - take it easy for a few days if at all possible Fair play to you !!

The doxycycline is to prevent infections, the other one is to reduce inflammation. Make sure you take the full course of doxycycline as prescribed . I take it you're taking pain killers as well?

Say it was piece of cake appointment i had to had wax without teeth in my mouth and bite it twice and that it next week be wax with teeth or real denture. also he told me schedule for cleaning down to my remaning teeth so i went to desk ask for appointments and she shock me said stay for bit and hygentist will do cleaning so i waited 15 mins in waiting due my ride was gone so i waited and then i went with hygentist for cleaning and she was so friendly ask me few questions then told me if i want purple dye shows where dirt on teeth so i said its upto her so she did and show me and she scrape few times but no pain and if i had pain she would numb my gum if i was in pain with gel. so i had nice 2 appointments in office. Also she didnt know if she clean good enough but i see clean to my eye but she also said i need a bone chip get out so i will have bone chip and wax fitting with teeth and i can say yes or no to it hehe
oh yeah my dentist notice i was so smile after he done with me since it was only 15 mins least

That's really great news, Keith. It was a long process, but I'm glad that you now have your dentures and everything seemed to work out in the end.

That's great news ! It's normal to have some sore spots at the start - your dentist will be able to adjust the denture if you tell him where exactly you get sore. It'll also feel a bit weird for the first few weeks, just like contact lenses take a little while to get used to. Great to hear they look just like real teeth and that the suction works well - Keep smiling ;D!!!

Actually, Mike wrote a really good post a while back for learning to use dentures, and I put it up on the website (scroll to the bottom of this page, it's in a question-and-answer box): www.dentalfearcentral.com/dentures.htmlYou'll get the hang of them very soon !!
