And another "way to go" from me as well. When you've had an extraction, it can seem like a lot of blood, because it gets mixed with your saliva and then it looks like a lot. But the bleeding is actually good, as it helps with the healing. Really glad that you felt calm G.

info on my dentist
I so puzzle why he didnt inform me or try push my appointments up sooner. they knew they had loan since June 11th but they were no treatment till july 5th There reason is no space open for 2 hrs treatments and they were full.
July 5th he extractions all my top teeth in 1hr July 12th he extraction my wisdom and 2 molars and 3 fillings on left side of mouth then i got told on july 12th my dentist is got 3 weeks from july 15th till aug 8th and he only be on mondays. So they schedule me aug 22nd and if there close day they will bump it up i just hope it happens. Since i hope have it all done very soon. They fest up to me today and told me they didnt wanna say much but i had infections that was bad it need some healing time and he saw my gum on 12th he said need more healing he would like see no bumps on it so the denture will fit will good and he will have bottom right done before he does imperssion on 22nd since he wanna both jaws even.

As far as I know, the usual recovery time for standard (as opposed to immediate) dentures is 4 to 8 weeks, and if there's a bit of an infection or healing is delayed, it would probably be better to err on the side of caution. I'm sorry you can't get them sooner though . Best of luck with the healing !

Update on my recovery: Its look like its healing very good for 3 weeks. Its was 4weds ago i had it done. 3 whole weeks im dont worry about people see me in person without teeth since no way ya can tell. Its be 3 more weeks to go for bottom right treatment ( i dreading since its one tooth is impact) and impressions. I been eating more meat like susages, hot dogs, hambugers, pork chops. Its strange to eat a subway sub without teeth.

Update its 1month and 8 days since no teeth on top. Look like i didnt get bump early slot but its only 1 week by tommorrow so i will survie another week. Its be 830am my appointment it will be right side wisdom and 2 back molars and 4 fillings. i not sure yet if he will do impression that day too but i hope so.
I trying figure should i ask for partial denture on bottom for the missing 4 back molars.

Hi Keith - it's a pity you weren't able to get an earlier slot. Regarding your questions about the lower partial - did you mean should you ask for an IMMEDIATE (same-day) partial? If so, Glenn explained the differences yesterday (over on the "Dentistry Questions" board): The advantage to this method (immediate partial denture) is that the patient is never without teeth. The disadvantage is that it is uncomfortable to wear the denture over the extraction sites, and that the denture will need to be relined (readapted) after the extraction sites have healed. Or did you mean that no replacement of those back teeth was planned, and should you ask to get a partial to replace them? I'm not entirely sure from your post (and can't remember the original treatment plan - my memory is letting me down, lol ).

okay i try make it clear for ya letscontect. I had done top all teeth extractions, and 1 wisdom and 2 bottom back molars extractions. I will have 1 more wisdom and 2 bottom back molars be extractions.
Question is should i get partial denture for bottom since no back molars just pre molars and front are left on bottom ( 10 teeth total) .
I wonder how long is denture steps? what and how the each steps will feel like?

Ah, OK. Many people can chew fine with just the premolars (provided you've got both premolars - people who had extraction orthodontics, which is no longer popular, only have one premolar). It really depends on the size and shape of your jaw etc. The disadvantage of partial dentures is that it makes it harder to keep your mouth clean, because of the clasps (bacteria can accumulate around them and then do damage to the teeth they're attached to, unless you take really good care of both the partial and your teeth). So a partial denture would make it harder for you to care for your teeth, because it takes more effort to clean them. Ask your dentist if he reckons you'll be OK without molars - for some people, this works fine, but it really depends on what your jaw and your bite is like. Also, the upper denture will be matched to the lower teeth so that your bite is right (which would mean fewer "teeth" on top if you're going without molars). But only a dentist who has seen you in person would be able to answer your question. Hope this helps !

ty letscontect that helps me alot since i wouldnt mind without backmolars if i dont need them hehe,
Its another visit on 22nd at 830am pdt . i will have my last extractions and fillings. They phone me today since they dont work on weekends so they told me what they be doing and said if i heal very good its be denture impression time. Then they will figure a schedule for more appointments. I will ask how long it will take and if i need backmolars and if i can get bleach or clean before wax try in so i get nice white teeth
