Please try and calm down and engage in some constructive dialogue. Spamming these boards is not going to help anyone, and comes across as frightening and deranged to someone with a dental phobia. Not the type of behaviour one would like to see from a professional, I'm sure you'll agree. ESPECIALLY considering the target group. The rubber dam issue had been discussed in various threads. We even got the opinion of a dental lawyer on that one! Don't know if you saw it. The general consensus which emerged is that it should always be used for endo treatment. However, I'm hardly going to bash a dentist whom I don't even know personally for making an exception for one of his patients. I'm sure you'll understand. In any event, "standard of care" is usually defined by the Bolam test - and the use of the rubber dam may not be the standard of care in all geographical areas. This is an international board. In future, please reply in the threads you take issue with, rather than copying and pasting the same post over and over again. [In case anyone is interested in what this is all about, the original post (which appeared at the end of about 20 threads) can be found at the end of this thread: dentalphobia.proboards27.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1123140004

I've taken the criticism re. people being inclined to take "running commentary" as gospel on board, and have added explanations/disclaimers to moderators' signatures. I hope this will help to avoid any confusion.
